Join Our Team: Volunteer Internship Opportunities Available

Ruby A. Neeson Diabetes Awareness Foundation is a growing grassroots organization that is unyielding in making a difference in three areas of impact: Health and Wellness, Social Services, and Socioeconomics. As a Georgia-based nonprofit foundation we advance comprehensive education and social programs to people affected by diabetes.

In 2021 we are amplifying our community outreach, organizing, and advocacy endeavors to support medically underserved areas and populations throughout Georgia to influence social change. Yet, we are in need of your help to execute our ambitious aspirations. We would greatly appreciate just a few hours of your time.

We are in need of volunteer interns to help with a variety of outreach, administrative, and marketing tasks--remotely, and occasionally in office.

Although, we can not render pay, we can and are committed to helping students obtain college credit and/or fulfill volunteer requirements. We will work with students in the best way we can to ensure the internship is mutually beneficial.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic many of our volunteer intern tasks can be done virtually. We are currently pursuing assistance for three different core programs and two advocacy campaigns. See a list of our core programs here.

Ideal candidates are both undergraduate and graduate students venturing in areas of public health, social work, and marketing/public relations.
